Plants pruned according to required size and shape, time of year, and the particular characteristics of each species. If you have specific pruning requirements please discuss with your Team Leader.

Weeds controlled by the use of hand and chemical methods including mulching. If you are opposed to chemical usage in your garden please advise your team leader.

Appropriate fertilizers applied to garden beds in spring, summer and autumn. Slow release and liquid fertiliser applied to gardens and pots as required.

Each visit we will analyse any pest and disease problems and take appropriate action. Non chemical methods are preferred but also judicious use of chemical sprays when necessary.
Please discuss alternative methods with your team leader if you are opposed to chemical usage in your garden. Be assured all our staff have current Chemical Application licensing.

A full system check will be undertaken at each visit, with any necessary repairs carried out. This includes timing adjustments and station checks. Batteries will be changed every six months.

Plant recommendations will be made based on the style and individual needs of your garden as well as replacement of plants. These suggestions may include seasonal potted colour, pots, urns, bowls and sculptures. Please discuss any of these options with your team leader.

Paving and pathways cleaned by a blower.

If a council green waste bin is available, we will use this first. Otherwise green waste removal will be charged as set out in our terms and conditions. We recommend clients that do not currently have a bin to contact your local council and order one. This will save money on your maintenance visits.

These will be reviewed at each visit and cleaned if required.

Cleaning of pavers
High water pressure cleaning applied to your paving and pathways. Alternatively, a chemical paver cleaner may be applied if you prefer.

Lawn care and maintenance
Fertilizing and spray programs will be developed to suit your individual lawn needs. Our service also includes lawn repairs, top-dressing and re-turfing.

Garden lighting
Garden lighting globes changed and lighting black spots isolated. A lighting specialist can be arranged for all repair and installation work.

1. Utopian Gardens maintenance teams consist of two landscape gardeners lead by a qualified horticulturist. Fees are $90 (including GST) per hour for two people. Additional people are charged at our hourly rate of $45 (including GST).

2. The minimum charge out rate for a maintenance visit is $180 (including GST) for 2 staff members for 2 hours.

3. Materials such as plants, mulch, fertilizers, irrigation parts and pest sprays are an additional charge and will be detailed on your invoice.

4. Tree surgery and pruning below 4 metres is included. For work above this height, a qualified arborist will be arranged on request and quote provided.

5. The minimum fee for an unscheduled visit is $90 (including GST).

6. Additional services may require a longer visit than usual and this will discussed with the client prior. These charges will be detailed on your invoice.

7. Green waste removal fee charged at a rate of $25 (including GST) per half bag. The maintenance proposal will provide an estimate for your garden but this will vary depending on each visit. If a council green waste bin is available, we will use this first. We encourage clients that do not have a bin to contact their local council and arrange one.

8. A written report will be completed by the team leader following each visit and left with the client or in the mailbox.

9. An invoice will be sent a few days after your maintenance visit. We require payment of all invoices within 7 days.
